The Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, shared a message on his social media account marking the 105th anniversary of the inauguration of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day.
In his post, Head of Communications Altun said:
"April 23 is not merely a date; it is the definitive and absolute declaration that sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation. It is also a significant day marking the moment when this precious legacy, was entrusted to our children, the assurance of our future.
Inaugurated during the most arduous days of the National Struggle, the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye stands as the clearest expression of our nation's unwavering commitment to its will, its determination to secure freedom, and its resolve to inspire hope in the eyes of our children.
Today, we continue to uphold these ideals, striving to keep the spirit of the Ghazi Parliament alive and pass on the same faith and determination to future generations.
I wholeheartedly congratulate the 105th anniversary of the inauguration of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and celebrate April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day with all our children, the apple of our eyes. I respectfully and gratefully commemorate all our heroes, especially Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who fought for the independence of our beloved homeland."
