The Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, sent a message to mark the opening of the "Symposium on Ziya Gökalp and Turkish Sociology on the 100th Anniversary of His Death," held at Afyon Kocatepe University.
Head of Communications Altun pointed out that the symposium will cover a wide range of important topics and noted the following:
"I would also like to convey that the Directorate of Communications is highly delighted to be a stakeholder in this important symposium. We attach enormous importance to these efforts to commemorate intellectuals such as Ziya Gökalp and elevate their ideas to the forefront of national and international public opinion in the current climate, and we are always committed to supporting such qualified efforts."
