Head of Communications Altun releases statement on High Advisory Board’s meeting

Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, released a written statement on the High Advisory Board meeting held at the Presidential Complex under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Head of Communications Altun stated that the agenda of the board included critical developments in the world and the region, Türkiye's efforts to achieve the goals of the Century of Türkiye, and the growing threats to the family structure, the foundation of the society, noting:

"The significance of the 'Family Institute' and the 'Population Policies Board,' which were established to fortify our family institution, was emphasised during the meeting. It was also discussed that the designation of 2025 as the 'Year of the Family' will heighten awareness of the identification and resolution of family-related issues, and interest-free loan support as part of the Family and Youth Fund, which is available to newly married young people, is currently being implemented in 81 provinces, and new projects are being developed to help young people get married and to mitigate threats and risks to the family. Moreover, the meeting highlighted the potential benefits of the legislation on the Parliament's agenda, which will provide significant support to families through increasing birth and child support in terms of social benefits, growth in population, and the strengthening of the family institution."

Head of Communications Altun noted that the challenges faced by the family institution were thoroughly examined during the meeting, and discussions were held to determine ways to strengthen the institution.

Attending the meeting were the board members İsmail Kahraman, Mehmet Ali Şahin, Cemil Çiçek, Köksal Toptan, İsmet Yılmaz, Binali Yıldırım, and Mustafa Şentop, as well as Secretary-General of the Presidency, Hakkı Susmaz, Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, and Chief of Cabinet to the President, Hasan Doğan.
