The Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a post on his social media account, urging for a response to the tragedy in Gaza.
In his post, Head of Communications Altun said:
"Speak up for Gaza! That is because:
Gaza is currently experiencing one of the most bleak periods in human history. The attacks, which have been ongoing for 333 days, have levelled cities to the ground. The occupying Israeli forces are bombarding mosques, churches, schools, and hospitals without any consideration for humanitarian concerns, and they are intentionally and systematically targeting journalists striving to document the grave human tragedy unfolding in the region.
- Children, women, the elderly, and innocent civilians in Gaza are deprived of access to clean water, food, and healthcare. The people of Gaza are facing genocide in front of the entire world.
- This genocide should deeply trouble the conscience of all humanity, not just the people of Gaza. The international community must unite and respond to this brutality, which has lasted 333 days.
- We must all work together to put an end to this tragedy and ensure the safety of children.
- Disregarding the situation in Gaza is the same as being complicit in this persecution. We must speak out strongly against this genocide in the name of justice and humanity.”
