Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a post on his social media account and reacted to Israel’s attack on the civilian aid ship Madleen, which was en route to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Head of Communications Altun stated the following in his post:
"Israel’s attack on the civilian aid ship Madleen, which was en route to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, is a clear violation of international law and human rights. We condemn this heinous attack in the strongest terms.
The Zionist Israeli government has once again demonstrated its intolerance for even the most basic humanitarian aid reaching Gaza.
The ongoing systematic destruction and massacres in Gaza for months are the actions of a terror state that recognises neither moral nor legal boundaries.
These reckless attacks, targeting women, children, and the elderly, are no longer just a Palestinian issue; they are now a matter of concern for all humanity.
Through its atrocities over the past 20 months, the Israeli government has turned into "an agent of chaos" that threatens regional peace and endangers global security. Any stance that ignores, remains silent, or fails to respond to this reality amounts to complicity in this crime.
As Türkiye, we reiterate our call to stop this atrocity, to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and to establish a fair peace in the region. We call on the international community and all of humanity to hear this outcry and to take concrete steps."
