President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan congratulated all women on International Women’s Day on 8 March.
In a post shared on his NSosyal account, President Erdoğan stated:
“Together with my esteemed wife and dear daughters, I congratulate all women who add meaning and value to our lives as mothers, spouses, sisters, companions and daughters on the occasion of International Women’s Day on 8 March.
From Gaza to Syria, from Yemen to Sudan, I also extend my congratulations on International Women’s Day to the grieving mothers and wives across different parts of our kindred and cultural geography; to the mothers who have lost their children as martyrs for the homeland — heroic mothers no less than their martyred children — and to the wives and daughters of our martyrs, each of whom stands as a symbol of resilience. I respectfully salute them all.”
We take pride in the women who contribute to our country with their achievements in every field of life, from science to art, from education to health, from the economy to sports, and from culture to technology.
We respectfully and gratefully salute all women who inspire society with their labour, determination and productivity, and who help shape our future. We wish them a life filled with health, peace and success.
