“Golden Compass” award to CİMER

Presidency’s Communication Centre (CİMER) won an award at the competition “The Golden Compass Public Relations Awards” of the Türkiye Public Relations Association (TÜHID).

Operating under the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, CİMER has been deemed worthy of an award in the “Golden Compass Public Relations Awards” competition, organized for the 19th time this year by TÜHID in order to reward successful public relations efforts.

In his statement regarding the award, Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun stated that they were proud of the fact that CİMER, which was established by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for a fast, effective and uninterrupted communication network between the nation and the state, was not only honoured with the appreciation of the citizens but also the national and international awards it won that crowned its success.

Expressing that the awards they won with CİMER both at home and abroad demonstrated how precious their work was, Altun said, “I congratulate all my colleagues who have contributed to this success”.

CİMER’s success is praised by the international community as well

CİMER, which is currently the largest public communication platform in the world, is also notable for the international awards that it wins.

CİMER was selected as the “Best Project” among 366 projects competing in the “Access to Knowledge and Information” category at the World Summit of Information Society held by the United Nations (UN) International Telecommunication Union in Geneva in 2019.

In 2019, CİMER was also granted the “Golden World Award for Excellence in Public Relations”, which is recognized as the “Oscar for Public Relations”, organized by the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).

In 2021, CİMER was rewarded with the Golden Compass Award, which is considered Türkiye’s most prestigious award in public relations.

The award was received on behalf of the organization by Evren Başar, Head of Public Relations Department of the Directorate of Communications, at the awards ceremony.
