FETÖ’s real face explained in Shkodra

Within the framework of the project initiated by Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, "The Network" documentary, which explains the real and dark side of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), was screened in Shkodra, northern Albania.

The documentary, prepared by TRT World and shot by the well-known British journalist Andrew Wilson, was screened with Albanian subtitles at Shkodra Yunus Emre Institute.

In addition to Turkey's Ambassador to Tirana Murat Ahmet Yörük, representatives of Turkish and local organizations and institutions in the country, students, citizens attended the event.

In his speech, Ambassador Yörük stated that FETÖ, which had tanks and heavy weapons, threatened the civilians, who had empty hands, but their hearts were full of faith.

Pointing out that FETÖ is not a classic terrorist organization, Yörük said: “This organization is structured like an intelligence organization, based on insidiousness, with the power and ability to penetrate into all civilian and official institutions of the countries in which it is located by secrecy and disguise."

Emphasizing that this terrorist organization also operates in Albania, Yörük said: "In short, they aim to seize all the institutions, civil and state structures of the countries in the course of time. Thus, they seek to establish a 'network' also throughout the world. Unfortunately, Albania still shelters this network. So you should be very careful and vigilant. You should give concrete support and contribution to Turkey’s fight against this terrorist organization."

Noting that this documentary depicts real as much as the dark side of FETÖ, which is insidious, treacherous and murderous, Yörük added: "In this documentary, FETÖ's unlawfulness, fraud and irregularities are explained. It is also shown that when they need it, either FETÖ uses weapons or it abuses and tries to destroy the economic, political and financial structures of the countries.”

The documentary was also screened in Tirana on July 8.
