FETÖ’s real face explained in London and Tirana

The documentary titled “The Network”, which tells Fetullah Terrorist Organization’s (FETÖ) real and dark side within the framework of the project initiated by Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, met with the audience in London, the capital of England, and Tirana, the capital of Albania.

The documentary titled “The Network”, which was prepared by TRT World within the scope of Presidency’s Directorate of Communications and tells the inner face of FETÖ, was screened in the Prince Charles Cinema in London and Yunus Emre Institute in Tirana as Albanian-subtitled.

A large number of people watched the documentary, shot by prominent British journalist Andrew Wilson.

Speaking at the event in London, Turkey's Ambassador to London Ümit Yalçın, pointed out that FETÖ targeted the Turkish democracy on July 15, 2016, and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Turkish people courageously stood against this coup attempt.

Yalçın stressed that the coup attempt of this terrorist organization revealed a great danger, which targeted the Turkish state and democracy and said: "Although Turkey is still continuing its struggle against FETÖ inside the country, this terrorist organization keeps on its activities also in other countries, which are mostly our allies. FETÖ abuses systems of these countries and they are met with tolerance and protection."

Emphasizing that this documentary is very important since it reveals FETÖ’s dark side, Yalçın said: “The organization is still operating in many countries in the fields of education, business and media. They aim to take over all the institutions, civil and state structures of the countries in which they operate in the course of time.”

In addition to Turkey's Ambassador to Tirana Murat Ahmet Yörük; Yunus Emre Institute Tirana Branch Director Ömer Osman Demirbaş, students and citizens also attended the event in Albania.

In his speech, Ambassador Yörük stated that during the coup attempt on the night of July 15, the tanks and machine guns cruelly turned against the civilians resisting on the streets with their bare hands and faithful hearts.

Explaining that FETÖ, which has plagued 160 countries around the world today, carried out the coup attempt, Yörük added: “This organization is not a classic terrorist organization in the sense you know. It is an organization that is institutionalized as an intelligence one with its deceptive and sneaky structure, and has the power and ability to penetrate into all civil and official institutions of the countries where it is located.”

Ambassador Yörük pointed out that FETÖ has introduced itself as if it legally acts for the purpose of education and charity in the international public and said: "To this end, it establishes educational bodies, health, media and commercial activity structures in some countries. It even penetrates into the religious institutions and structures of these countries. In this context, this organization has implemented all of these activities in Albania. They aim to seize their structures over time, thus aiming to establish a worldwide network. "

Warning that Albania should be very careful and vigilant, Yörük said: "You should extend concrete and determined support to Turkey in its struggle.”
