Presidency’s Communications Director Prof. Fahrettin Altun said: "February 28 did not last a thousand years, but the will of the nation shall remain forever."
In his statement on Twitter, Prof. Altun said: "February 28 was a blow to the people's will and their values."
Stating that the Turkish nation demonstrated that attempts for tutelage, coup and invasion would be buried in history with a glorious resistance such as on July 15, 2016, Prof. Altun added: "February 28 did not last a thousand years, but the will of the nation shall remain forever."
In his tweet, Fahrettin Altun also shared photographs of tanks rolling out on the streets of Sincan district, which became one of the symbols of the post-modern coup of February 28, as well as photographs showing the resistance of the nation against the coup attempt on July 15, 2016.
