The Disinformation Bulletin, dated March 23-24, 2023, drafted by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, Centre for Combating Disinformation, and pointing out the truth of the news containing disinformation, has been released.
In the bulletin, it is stated that the claim that "Turkish military executes contractors" regarding the footage shared on various platforms by various social media accounts from numerous countries is not true. The bulletin adds that the footage depicts the April 2013 mass executions of civilians in Damascus, Syria, by forces loyal to the Assad regime.
The bulletin notes that footage capturing one of the war crimes that sparked international outrage has nothing to do with Türkiye.
In the bulletin indicating that the images circulating on social media with the claim "Former US President Donald Trump has been detaimined" are untrue, it is determined that the images used to support the claim were created digitally and have no basis in reality.
According to the bulletin, when the visuals are closely examined, it becomes evident that there are indeed several defects.
