Director of Communications Altun: “We aim to reach a wider audience, particularly our youth, with the stories of our heroes who determined the fate of the Victory of Çanakkale and had no hesitation in putting their own lives at stake, and to keep the spirit of Çanakkale alive forever.”

The Presidency's Directorate of Communications produced a documentary series titled “Unforgettable Stories of Our Heroes Who Made History in Çanakkale” on the occasion of March 18 Martyrs’ Commemoration Day and the 107th anniversary of the Victory of Çanakkale.

The documentary series tells the story of the unknown heroes of the Victory of Çanakkale and the struggle they endured at the risk of their lives.

The documentary tells the stories of children who had to leave their village to fight, young students who dropped out of school, paramedics who ran for healing, battalion imams, artillerymen who refused to leave their bastions at any cost, and pashas who dedicated their lives to commanding the young Turkish soldiers on the front lines.

Today, the TRT Documentary will air six episodes of the documentary series titled "Those Who Passed Through the Fire: Bastions That Didn't Go Silent in the Battle of Çanakkale and the Heroic Artillerymen," "Those Who Buried Their Pens in the Ground: Students in the Battle of Çanakkale", "Those Who Shifted the Fate of the War: Military Intelligence in Çanakkale and Ottoman Commander Cevat Pasha," "Prayers Filling the Trenches: Battalion Imams in the Battle of Çanakkale," "Those Who Healed Wounds: The Red Crescent Association and the Medics in the Battle of Çanakkale," and "Those Who Made Notes in History: Memoirs of the Battle of Çanakkale and Münim Mustafa" under the main title “Çanakkale in the Cause of a Crescent,” which will also be shared on the Directorate of Communications’ social media accounts.
