Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun will tell the young participants about “Türkiye’s Communication Model”.
The Presidency’s Directorate of Communications and the Ministry of Youth and Sports will organise the International Young Communicators (Stratcom Youth) Forum in Antalya from May 6-11.
The “International Young Communicators Summit”, which was one of the side events during last December’s “Stratcom Summit: International Strategic Communication Summit” that brought together experts and leaders from across the world, will now welcome young communicators for the first time.
The forum, which will host over 100 students from the communication faculties of 43 universities in 13 countries, aims to provide communication students with a chance to broaden their theoretical and practical knowledge in their field of study and connect with field experts.
The forum will feature trainings, workshops and panels on a variety of topics, including strategic communication, graphic design, war journalism, digital media, corporate communication and storytelling.
Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu will deliver the forum’s opening speech on May 8, while the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications Fahrettin Altun will tell the young participants about “Türkiye’s Communication Model” during the first session.
Field experts will discuss successful communication strategies, corporate communication, digital world, and social media at the forum, where TRT and Anadolu Agency, and senior executives of TV channels and newspapers will share their experiences in a variety of fields.
During the panel titled "State-Nation Communication", representatives of the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications will share the Directorate’s vision and activities with the participating students. Moreover, students will be informed about the ongoing efforts to combat disinformation.
As part of the program, students will visit historical sites in Antalya, such as Kaleiçi, Yivli Minaret Mosque, Şehzade Korkut Mosque and Yacht Harbour, and participate in social and cultural activities, such as concerts, sports events and movies.
Young communicators will receive participation certificates at the end of the 6-day program including social activities.
