Directorate of Communications shares post on repatriated cultural artefacts

Our Directorate reported that 9 thousand 43 artefacts that had been trafficked abroad from Anatolia were brought back to the lands they belonged to.

The post shared on the social media account of the Directorate of Communications states, "As a result of diligent follow-up, 9 thousand 43 artefacts that had been trafficked abroad from Anatolia were brought back to Türkiye. We continue to preserve our cultural heritage."

According to the image shared, 765 artefacts were transported to Türkiye between 2002 and 2007, 3,339 between 2008 and 2012, 201 between 2013 and 2017, and 4,738 between 2018 and 2022.
