The Directorate of Communications held events in Rabia Square in the city centre of Şanlıurfa as part of the "Activity Trucks for the Earthquake Zone Project" in an effort to adapt the child survivors of the earthquake to social life and erase the traces of the disaster.
During activities organised under the theme "A truckload of happiness is on its way to your city," children had a great time with clowns.
Efe Murat Erbaş, Regional Director of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications in Şanlıurfa, told reporters that similar events were being held in all earthquake-affected provinces.
Erbaş emphasised that they wanted children to have a good time, saying, "We presented gifts at our events with the intention of being all together for our children. We would like to thank all of the families and children who participated. We would be glad if we could make their faces light up even a little."
Ayşe Çelik, one of the children who attended the event, said she had a good time and especially enjoyed the clowns.
