Directorate of Communications organises event for quake survivor children in Diyarbakır

As part of the "Activity Trucks for the Earthquake Zone Project," our Directorate held events in Diyarbakır.

The event, which was organised in order to reintegrate earthquake victims into social life and eradicate all traces of the disaster, took place in the yard of the Süleyman Bin Halid Higher Education Student Loans and Dormitories Institution (KYK) Girls' Dormitory in the Bağcılar Neighbourhood of the Bağlar District.

During "Together for Our Children"-themed activities, children had a good time accompanied by music.

Fikret Dişlioğlu, Regional Director of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications in Diyarbakır, thanked the Directorate of Communications for the event.

Stating that the country was confronted with a major disaster in the February 6 earthquake, Dişlioğlu said, “We have implemented the activity trucks for children project in order to alleviate the suffering of the earthquake victims in Diyarbakır to some extent, to help our children get rid of the impacts of the earthquake, and to overcome their trauma. We want to leave the suffering of children behind by building playgrounds, basketball courts, and numerous activity places for children in the playground truck."

Dicle Gündüz, one of the children participating in the event, said that she had a very enjoyable time with her friends.
