Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a thread on his Twitter account regarding the attack on Surp Krikor Armenian Church.
Stating their deep sadness over the provocative attack on Surp Krikor (Saint Gregory) Armenian Church in Kuzguncuk, where people of different faiths coexist peacefully by respecting the law of neighbourhood, Altun noted the following:
“We will stand firmly against all acts aimed at distorting the brotherhood and unity of our citizens with different religions and ethnic identities and will exert the utmost effort to preserve the law of brotherhood. On the occasion of this cowardly attack, I have called our neighbour Edvard Ayvazyan, the Chairman of the Foundation for Surp Krikor Armenian Church, to express my sympathies and sadness. We will follow up on this sad incident on the legal ground and defend the rights of our citizens at all times.”
