Director of Communications Altun: With a strong social state mindset, we are with our youth

Director of Communications Altun: "State Incentives Promotion Days will encourage our youth to partake in excellent and high-quality work that benefits both the future of our nation and their own lives."

Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun attended the State Incentives Promotion Days held by the Directorate of Communications at the Congresium Ankara ATO International Convention and Exhibition Centre and stated, "With a strong social state mindset, our state is with our youth, as well as other segments of society."

Director of Communications Altun visited the stands set up for the event, was briefed on the activities by authorities, spoke with the youth and had a souvenir photo taken with them.

Later in his statement to the journalists, Director of Communications Altun said that as part of their duty to serve as a communication bridge between the state and the nation, they built a platform for young people to communicate directly with state institutions regarding the government programs such as incentives, grants, education, and scholarships.

Emphasising that 40 state institutions participated in promotion days, Director of Communications Altun said, "They convey the types of incentives their institutions provide, the opportunities they can and will offer to our youth. Thus, our young people can understand how our state and government support them and how they can more confidently look forward to the future."

Underlining the coronavirus pandemic is ongoing, Director of Communications Altun said, "With a strong social state mindset, our state is with our youth, as well as other segments of society. This platform is the most tangible and clear evidence. Our youth may witness first-hand how our President's vision has turned into reality here today."

Stating that the promotion days are open to the participation of all young people and that they are expecting them and their families, Director of Communications Altun said, "We truly want them to see how our state is powerfully supporting our youth through a well-defined plan."

Director of Communications Altun said that the exhibition area comprised three aisles, and the "State Aisle" included the stands of 40 institutions, whose representatives explained face-to-face to the young people what they do and what kind of opportunities they offer.

Director of Communications Altun stated that the second aisle was called "Entertainment Aisle" and presented young people with simulated experiences via the use of various devices.

Director of Communications Altun stated that throughout the "Experience Aisle", the young people who benefited from state incentives and achieved success by using state-provided opportunities presented their success stories directly to other young people on how they did so, and he added:

"As we created this platform with our colleagues, we did it with the belief that the best, most authentic communication happens face-to-face, as our President has frequently emphasised. Türkiye has become a highly powerful and recognised regional power over the last two decades. Under the leadership of our President, our country aspires to be a significant global actor as well. While doing so, it is crucial to remember that our youth is the most vital segment of our society on which we rely, both today and in the future. Our youth are integral to the vision for 2023 as well as visions for 2053 and 2071. They are the foundation of this society, our country, and our future, and this platform is our youth's platform. The representatives of state institutions will speak directly to our youngsters about what we are doing here, one-on-one, face-to-face, and therefore encourage them to partake in excellent and high-quality work that benefits both the future of our nation and their own lives."

Expressing his satisfaction with the appreciation shown by the youth, Director of Communications Altun thanked all institutions.

Upon the question, "Can we call it a new era?", with reference to similar events being held in the private sector and universities, Director of Communications Altun said, "Essentially, as our President constantly emphasises, these activities are being carried out from the very beginning, in accordance with the vision of our state's institutions to compete with the private sector in terms of flexibility, speed, and effectiveness."

Explaining that the Presidential Government System enabled work in this area to be much more coordinated, effective, and timely, Director of Communications Altun said, "With our President ensuring the transition to the Presidential Government System through a constitutional amendment in 2018, he essentially desired to implement this exact vision."

Stating that institutions could carry out their projects quickly and in a coordinated manner, Director of Communications Altun said, "Our young people are able to engage in one-on-one dialogue with numerous corporate representatives with the approach of 'how can I be a part of this process as well?' with great curiosity and enthusiasm. Long gone are the days of old Türkiye, and so is its old bureaucracy. Here you can see the heads of many institutions, the director generals of many institutions, and the top managers of many institutions. You can see that they have very good dialogues with young people and inform them about what they do for them. This is the concrete picture and sign of Türkiye built by our President's vision."

Visiting the Stands

Director of Communications Altun, who also visited the Anadolu Agency's (AA) stand, said that the Anadolu Agency, one of Türkiye's oldest institutions, always invested in the youth, and added, "Inshallah, our Anadolu Agency will show both its employment opportunities and incentives for the youth through you here."

During Director of Communications Altun's visit to the Ministry of Youth and Sports's stand, he and his spouse Fatmanur Altun were presented with badges prepared for them.

Briefed about the works carried out by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) at their stand, Director of Communications Altun was given details about Elif Karlıtepe's project, who achieved success with her project in the "I Have an Idea for My Country" Project organised by the Directorate of Communications. Stating that the fact that the project was implemented through the "I Have an Idea for My Country" Project was a source of pride for them, Director of Communications Altun said, "It was one of the best PR activities of 2019. Thanks be to Allah that the project also received an international award. It is a great pleasure for us to see its concrete outcome here."

Planning that invests in Türkiye's role as a regional and global actor

Paying a visit to Halkbank's stand, Director of Communications Altun quoted President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's emphasis on investment, employment, production, export, and growth, and said that there were crucial roles for public banks to play to that end. Director of Communications Altun said, "Indeed, the world is going through very challenging times. We, thanks be to Allah, are going through these days with significant planning under the leadership of our President. This planning is one that corresponds to real-life in exact terms and invests in Türkiye's role as a regional and global actor in the short, middle, and long term."

After stopping by the stand where the national automobile TOGG was promoted, Director of Communications Altun went on to visit the stands of other ministries, governmental institutions and organisations that participated in the event and received information about them.
