Director of Communications Altun: “We condemn unconditionally the most recent terror attack in Nice, France”

Noting that they condemn unconditionally the most recent terror attack in Nice, France, Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun said: “We call on the French leadership to avoid further inflammatory rhetoric against Muslims and focus, instead, on finding the perpetrators of this and other acts of violence.”

In a thread on his Twitter account, Director of Communications Altun indicated that as President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has stated many times, Islam cannot be used in the name of terrorism.
Stressing that they condemn unconditionally the most recent terror attack in Nice, France, Altun pointed out that such senseless violence has nothing to do with Islam or Muslims.

Stating: “We call on the French leadership to avoid further inflammatory rhetoric against Muslims and focus, instead, on finding the perpetrators of this and other acts of violence”, Altun noted the following:
“Sensible parties in France must work on building bridges to prevent the creation of a hostile environment.

We will continue to confront any politician who insults our religion and values. We feel we owe no apology to anyone for expressing our strong opposition to racism and xenophobia. We categorically deny any effort to associate us with any kind of violence.

Our President has always called for cooperation against terrorism and extremism. We renew that call once again while we reject the damaging rhetoric and actions against our religion and culture regardless of its ideological source.”
