Presidency's Director of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, shared a post on his social media account regarding the air operations against terrorist targets in the north of Iraq.
In his statement, Director of Communications Altun emphasised that, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, all security units continue to work day and night to build on the progress they have made over the years in the fight against terrorism, to achieve success in the strategy of eliminating terrorism at its source, and to ensure that not a single terrorist remains a threat to Türkiye.
Director of Communications Altun stated, "The successful air operations conducted by our heroic army against the separatist terrorist organisation in the north of Iraq tonight are a significant indication that we will continue to give no respite to terrorism not only within our country but also beyond our borders." "Through these operations, the terrorist organisation has sustained yet another significant blow," he said.
"As our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan clearly emphasised, the enemies of Türkiye will suddenly feel the breath of our state's security forces on their necks one night," Director of Communications Altun said, emphasising the importance of the national and international public being vigilant against disinformation activities, particularly those attempted by the terrorist organisation, at a time when the fight against terrorism is so sensitive, effective, and successful.
Pointing out that the media's avoidance of behaviour that would disregard public interest and the safety of citizens in pursuit of sensationalism or ratings would make a significant contribution to the fight against terrorism, Director of Communications Altun said, "Türkiye will continue its relentless fight against all terrorist organisations until the last terrorist has been neutralised."
Director of Communications Altun also included the statement of the Ministry of National Defence regarding the air operation in his post.
