Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun said, "Turkey and the Turkish community in Europe have always been a bulwark against terrorism and extremism. To say otherwise is to serve racism and Islamophobia."
Director of Communications Altun slammed the remarks made by the Dutch far-right Party for Freedom leader Geert Wilders against President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Director of Communications Altun made a statement on his Twitter account regarding a post shared by Wilders about President Erdoğan on social media and also the Dutch NCTV's report.
"Any words uttered by Geert Wilders and his merry band of neo-Nazis has never amounted to anything," noted Altun, and made the following remarks:
"The real danger is that seemingly moderate governments and ostensibly responsible policymakers in Europe seem to concur. The Dutch NCTV's inaccurate, biased and ignorant 'report' must be a source of much greater concern than the village idiot. Turkey and the Turkish community in Europe have always been a bulwark against terrorism and extremism. To say otherwise is to serve racism and Islamophobia."
