Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a post in English on his social media, saying “We will extinguish terrorism at its source, be it in northern Iraq or northern Syria or elsewhere.”
Stating that latest despicable terror attack in Ankara failed to reach its goal, Director of Communications Altun remarked "This attack is a reminder that our fight against terrorism at home and abroad is pushing them toward desperate attacks."
Underscoring that Türkiye will continue to fight terrorism wherever it emanates from, Director of Communications Altun went on to state:
“We will continue to fight terrorism wherever it emanates from. We will extinguish it at its source, be it in northern Iraq or northern Syria or elsewhere. We will not bow down to their threats, and we will not compromise our security. As our President Erdoğan says often, we might suddenly knock on your door one night. Those who dare test our resolve will meet the fate of those we have dealt with in the past. We promise to pursue them wherever they might hide. We expect and call upon our allies and partners to see PKK and its offshoots in the region for who they are and end their support. As our President Erdoğan says, there is no good terrorist. You cannot fight one terror group with another. The best way for our allies to fight terrorism is through close coordination and cooperation with Türkiye.”
Expressing that Türkiye has suffered from and learned a lot about terrorism in this region, Director of Communications Altun stated the following:
“Aiding and abetting these groups for strategic reasons is simply a colossal folly. Once again, I condemn the Ankara terror attack in strongest terms and send my best wishes to our injured heroes. To those terrorists, our message is simple: we will not rest until we bring justice to you. To our allies, end your misguided policy of supporting terror groups.”
