Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun said, "The decisive stance of our President is the most important assurance of our country's fight against terrorism today, as it was then. You will not succeed. You will not be able to divide our nation. You will not be able to strike our flag. You will not be able to break down our land. You will not be able to silence our adhan."
In a thread shared on his social media account, Director of Communications Altun stated that HDP had received 6 million votes in the June 7, 2015 elections by saying that "We'll leave the PKK and become a party of Turkey." Reiterating that shortly after the election, the PKK announced that it had started a "revolutionary people's war" by making the vote of the HDP its shield, Altun said, "The HDP immediately surrendered to this meanness. The HDP ended that day. The HDP, which had told peace lies before the election, became the leading actor of the pit politics after the election. It completely surrendered to the PKK's plan to drag the country into a civil war."
Pointing out that at that time, they had said these things without fear and that they had clearly warned those who were wrong and those who committed betrayal, Director of Communications Altun made the following remarks:
"Since that day, our state has adopted a 'policy of exterminating terrorism at its source' and has inflicted heavy blows to the PKK's presence at home and abroad. Military operations abroad, military deployments, and foreign intelligence have come to the forefront as important elements in this process. The decisive stance of our President is the most important assurance of our country's fight against terrorism today, as it was then.
You will not succeed. You will not be able to divide our nation. You will not be able to strike our flag. You will not be able to break down our land. You will not be able to silence our adhan."
