Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun stated that with approximately 4 thousand personnel, hundreds of vehicles and equipment, forest fires in 21 provinces were intervened by air and on the ground.
Director of Communications Altun shared an image on his social media account with the caption "Our Country is Mobilising for Our Forests," displaying the number of vehicles and personnel deployed in responding to forest fires.
Stating that "Relevant institutions and organisations are responding to forest fires in 21 provinces from the air and on the ground with approximately 4 thousand personnel, hundreds of vehicles and equipment", Altun noted that 43 of the 63 fires that erupted in two days were taken under control, and the extinguishing operations continued meticulously.
3 aircraft, 9 UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), 1 JCB, 38 helicopters, 620 water sprinklers, 63 water supply vehicles, 39 water tankers, 54 construction vehicles, 2 TOMAs (anti-riot water cannon vehicles), 9 trucks, 184 off-road vehicles, 45 fire trucks, 21 vehicles, 2 excavators, 46 ambulances, 13 UMKE (National Medical Rescue Team) vehicles, 4 mobile command vehicles, 4 thousand personnel, and 187 healthcare professionals were involved in responding to forest fires.
In order to provide meals and shelter for citizens, 1 field kitchen kit, 5 catering vehicles, 3 state student dormitories, and 4 Ministry of National Education boarding houses were put into service.
Additionally, 20 thousand 400 meals were supplied.
