Director of Communications Altun shares post on “United for Peace in Palestine”

Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a post on his social media account concerning the "United for Peace in Palestine" summit held in Istanbul.

Director of Communications Altun stated in his post that the summit themed "United for Peace in Palestine" helped raise a very strong voice in the international arena against the massacre committed by Israel in Gaza and said, "This voice is the voice of the common conscience of humanity. As emphasised in the call by First Lady Erdoğan at the end of the summit, we demand 'the immediate and collective action to stop the ongoing massacres in Gaza and the immediate cessation of Israeli attacks targeting all civilian infrastructure in Gaza, including schools, hospitals and other medical facilities, refugee camps, United Nations facilities and places of worship.'"

"It stands out as an important work that documents Türkiye's struggle for the Palestinian cause under the leadership of our President @RTErdogan," Director of Communications Altun noted in reference to the book "Türkiye's Peace Diplomacy for the Just Cause of Occupied Palestine," which was released exclusively for the summit and is accessible in Arabic, Turkish, and English, highlighting Türkiye's peace diplomacy through exploring the course of events from the inception of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to the present day.

Saying that attendees were likewise intrigued by the exhibit "Gaza: Resisting Humanity" that was organised on the margins of the summit, Director of Communications Altun concluded his post by adding, "To quote the preface of the book penned by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan...

"Türkiye, a nation that has historically supported the oppressed, opposed the oppressor, and welcomed the oppressed, continues to support the innocent and oppressed Palestinian people. It is both our humanitarian duty and a requirement of our faith to put an end to the massacres taking place in Gaza in full view of the entire world."
