Director of Communications Altun: "Türkiye, which is always sensitive to humanitarian issues, deals with the reality on the ground from both a humanitarian and diplomatic perspective. Türkiye's primary objective is to sustain regional and global peace."
In a post shared on his social media account regarding the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun said, "During the meetings that started with the talks of the foreign ministers of Ukraine-Russia-Türkiye, the heart of the world beat in Antalya. The event, which brought together many statespersons, politicians, academics and diplomats, accompanied the intense diplomacy traffic of our President."
Director of Communications Altun remarked that the forum, which featured key panels and discussions, drew a large international audience. They met in Antalya with a number of prominent figures who had travelled to Türkiye as part of ADF2022.
Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun added:
"During the meetings that started with the talks of the foreign ministers of Ukraine-Russia-Türkiye, the heart of the world beat in Antalya.
The event, which brought together many statespersons, politicians, academics and diplomats, accompanied the intense diplomacy traffic of our President. In the last four days, our President has met with eight heads of state, two prime ministers, and two heads of international organisations. Including the meetings he will hold today and tomorrow, our President will have conducted 14 diplomatic meetings in the last week. As a result of our President's efforts, Türkiye has developed into a revered state and a stabilising power in its region. The most visible manifestation of this is the intense diplomacy traffic of the last week.
Türkiye, which is always sensitive to humanitarian issues, deals with the reality on the ground from both a humanitarian and diplomatic perspective. Türkiye's primary objective is to sustain regional and global peace."
Stating that Türkiye had demonstrated its strategic impact and geopolitical and geoeconomic importance in the world with the diplomacy traffic in the previous week, Director of Communications Altun stated that ADF2022 had become a showcase where this fact is most clearly highlighted.
Emphasising that our country would be the place where the heart of the world beats diplomatically and strategically in the coming future, Director of Communications Altun said, "It will continue to be a brand where global problems are addressed, conflicts are settled, peace and stability are ensured.
Türkiye will continue to pursue a foreign policy that prioritises people, humanitarian values, and communities in its region as an actor who disrupts all games in geographies where chessboards have been constructed and conflict and tears have dominated."
Director of Communications Altun also added:
"ADF2022 and similar forums will continue to serve as platforms for Türkiye to communicate messages that are supranational in scope and transcend national interests.
Türkiye will continue to be the guarantor for global peace and justice, as well as the voice of the oppressed and the aggrieved. As with prior forums, our country will host gatherings where global plurality is celebrated in practice rather than theory. New ideas and voices will emerge in these lands in search of solutions to global problems.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone who contributed to the #ADF2022 meeting, and I wish that these meetings will pave the way for new forums and be auspicious."
