"Today is a magnificent day, people are performing prayers at Hagia Sophia and I am crying with my three children at home. We would like to thank our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for allowing us to enjoy such feelings. May Allah always keep you with us and give you a long life. It was more than a dream for us to see Turkey at such a level, but what is right has come true. May Allah bless Muslims. Mr President; we love you so much. Greetings from my children, namely, Aylanaz, Rabia and Baybars..."

Another citizen who stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan overwhelmed the Muslims with great joy by reopening the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque to worship, and noted the following:

"Moreover, you have enabled us to fulfill our responsibility toward our history and ancestry by reconverting the entrustment of our ancestry to its original form. The two-rakat prayers that we performed secretly in Hagia Sophia for its reopening have been answered thanks first to Allah and then you. May Allah bless you with an auspicious and long life, and never leave us without you. May Allah grant you the opportunity to serve your nation aplenty. May you rest next to our Prophet in afterlife. May Allah let us come together in the flesh. Your case is our case until the day we die.”
