In a post on his Twitter, Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun provided information on applications to Presidency’s Communications Center (CIMER) made by citizens who wish to support the ‘National Solidarity Campaign’.
“All segments of our society including workers, civil servants, retirees, merchants, farmers, students and veterans say #WeAreSelf-SufficientTurkey. Our most precious asset is our unity!” Altun said.
Altun shared the following messages sent by citizens:
ADANA/SEYHAN
“We are self-sufficient. We support our state under this campaign. We kindly request to be informed about the legal procedure we should follow in order to donate the 18,000 Turkish Liras of annual income -currently in the account of our Parent-Teacher Association at Ziraat Bank- that we earned by selling the olives we harvested from the 150-200 olive trees in the yard of Oğuz Kağan Köksal School for the Blind in Adana province.”

“Mr. President, I would like to support the ‘We are self-sufficient’ campaign that you launched by donating 500 Turkish Liras from my pensioner holiday bonus. If you would accept, I want the amount in question to be transferred to the campaign account. God bless you. Best regards."

“As a teacher, I donate my additional tuition fees for April 1-30 to the National Solidarity Campaign launched by our President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN with the slogan ‘We are self-sufficient, Turkey’. Yours sincerely.”

“Mr. President, I am a patriotic Turkish citizen who was bestowed with the title of veteran by God in 2011 as per Counter-Terrorism Law no. 3713. May God bless you and those who have supported you and NEVER LET YOU DOWN for everything you did by devoting yourself to this homeland and nation and working day and night as well as everything you wanted to do but you could not. I was moved by your donation of seven salaries to the WE ARE SELF-SUFFICIENT campaign that you launched in this really difficult period while already working and striving so hard. This once again demonstrates your love for this country. You have been our CHIEF, and we have followed you with full confidence and trust. On the day of the coup attempt, you stood tall as always while the traitors were looking for you, you confronted them and said ‘I am here’, you called on us to take to the streets, we gladly took to the streets immediately, then you told us to stay home and we did. Today, in response to your exemplary behaviour, I want to donate to the state my veteran salary due on April 1. This is a donation I have recently been intending to make anyway. If it is too late to deduct my salary, I am willing to transfer my salary to the Iban you would provide so that I can make a contribution, although small. May God protect our state from harm. May God save us from these difficult times and may our unity be permanent and not just in difficult days like these. It is only then that we can be one and we can be strong, we can have a voice in the world, disseminate justice and stop persecution.
