Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun shared a post on Twitter on the occasion of June 20, World Refugee Day.
Director of Communications Altun stated the following in his post:
"Refugees, who were forcibly uprooted from their homes and had to start a new life in a different part of the world, represent one of the most pressing human rights issues of our century. Reintegrating refugees into a life of dignity is the international community's most fundamental political and moral responsibility.
Our President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has embraced the oppressed and victims who have been ignored by the majority of the world and has become their voice in the international arena by giving the world a lesson of humanity.
World Refugee Day, observed annually by the United Nations on June 20, serves as a reminder of the values that the international community should uphold."
