Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a thread on his Twitter account, saying, "This mindset, which embraces all anti-Turkey reports without checking their authenticity and reliability, shows us once again the importance of an independent, credible and responsible media.”
The unfounded and nonsensical claims concerning the medical supplies which Turkey sent to the United Kingdom were denied by the official authorities of both countries and the truth was immediately revealed, Altun said, and continued as follows:
"It is regrettable, however, that certain circles and media outlets are so eager to buy into these reports, which are obviously the products of a defamation campaign against our country. Yet, the truth is manifested, the candle of those who embrace the lie as their guide goes off at every midnight. When media stops pursuing the truth, the right and the accurate news and becomes lost in the hole of lies, superstition and sensation, it can only be spoken of enmity of people and democracy, not of the advocacy of democracy. Long live democracy, long live the truth!"
