Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun strongly condemned the attack on the employees of AZTV, the official state television of Azerbaijan, in France.
In a post he shared on his social media account, Director of Communications Altun said that they were saddened to learn that the employees of the AZTV, the official state television of Azerbaijan, were attacked in France while performing their duties.
Director of Communications Altun stated the following in his post:
"We strongly condemn this heinous attack on the freedom of the press and information, which reveals that Europe is falling further and further behind in protecting human rights and freedoms. We expect the French authorities and law enforcement agencies to immediately identify the perpetrators of the attack and bring them to justice.
I also called my dear brother Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant of the President of Azerbaijan, and told him that we, as Türkiye, would use all our means to shed light on this heinous attack."
Director of Communications Altun wished a speedy recovery to the Azerbaijani journalists who were injured in the attack and conveyed his best wishes to all the brotherly people of Azerbaijan.
