Recalling that the Turkic Council convened on Friday in İstanbul, on the Democracy and Freedoms Island, Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun said, "Once again, we all say 'common history, common future'. We have further strengthened our strategic cooperation in a variety of fields, ranging from economy to diplomacy, education to technology."
Director of Communications Altun shared a post about the Turkic Council on his social media account.
In his video post, Altun shared the following message: "The Turkic Council has convened in İstanbul, on the Democracy and Freedoms Island. Once again, we all say 'common history, common future'. We have further strengthened our strategic cooperation in a variety of fields, ranging from economy to diplomacy, education to technology. "
The video opens with the phrase, "Common ancestry, common language, common religion, and common history; for centuries divided by foreign powers, the 300-million Turkic World is re-emerging," and narrates the establishment of the Turkic Council. The video highlights some of the projects carried out by the Turkic Council and notes the following:
"Being aware of its great potential, Turkic World, under Turkic Council's roof, makes firm steps towards its future under the light of its common values and past. By the goals of the 2040 vision like visa-free travel across Turkic World and establishment of free trade zones among the members, the Turkic Council enters a new phase and gathers in Istanbul for laying the base of coming era. Turkic Council enables Turkic World that shares common joy and sorrow, to look at the future confidently."
