Director of Communications Altun: “If we want to understand what the truth is, we must contemplate in the face of the Westernist, colonial order”

Speaking at the "Bab-ı Ali School Certificate Program" organized at the İstanbul Regional Directorate of the Directorate of Communications, the Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun noted that the press that is against the national will has lost its hegemony as Türkiye has made a name for itself in the world.

During the event, which began with the singing of the National Anthem and a moment of silence, a promotional video for the Bab-ı Ali School was displayed.

Speaking at the event, Director of Communications Altun stated that such programs require perseverance first and foremost, and he congratulated the students who were entitled to receive certificates for demonstrating perseverance and persistance.

Expressing that perseverance, a highly important value, is one of the missing virtues of this age, Director of Communications Altun said, "But, regrettably, we live in an age when perseverance is not duly valued. Today's age is primarily one in which we live in a hurry. Pay attention. I am not saying it is an era where we live fast; it is an era where we live in a hurry. Because haste is different from speed. Speed is basically good. Working speedily is advantageous. However, rushing and living in a state of constant haste and hustle means you are missing out on life. In this regard, perseverance is one of the most important anchors."

Director of Communications Altun stated that in this era of international media imperialism, ready-made prescriptions and ready-made thought pills are unfortunately offered to the entire world and to all segments of society, and explained that these pills are simply apparatuses that prevent the truth and reality from being seen.

Indicating that they are faced with a world order that wants all events to be perceived using these ready-made patterns, Director of Communications Altun continued:

"However, if we want to understand what is happening and what the truth is, we must contemplate in the face of this world system, this hegemonic, Westernist, colonial order." For this, we must read, research, and persevere. As a result, your presence here today, in this event, and your success are due, first and foremost, to your perseverance. That is why I am emphasizing this particular point, and I once again commend you on your perseverance. Young people who are perseverant, determined, and hardworking will, with Allah's permission, make this country greater, stronger, and more prosperous. This, I believe, is what our Honorable President means when he says, "The Century of Türikye will be the Century of young people." Because the young people who are involved in this effort will take our country to greater heights."

"The media outlets that generate headlines against our President harbor animosity toward Türkiye"

Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun explained that a significant sequence of events can be noticed when looking at the historical backdrop of many developments and incidents that took place during the current period and noted that many things that happen are not developments that occur abruptly, but rather over a long period of time.

Director of Communications Altun said that two veins can be seen running through Bab-i Ali today when viewed from a historical perspective, emphasizing that there is both a domestic-national vein and a Westernist, foreign vein flowing through Bab-ı Ali.

Indicating that, in the history of the press, the pro-tutelage vein that was against the national will was stronger and more dominant compared to the other vein that was in support of the national and domestic will, Director of Communications Altun noted that the press that was against the national will has lost its hegemony as Türkiye grew, developed, became more democratic, and made a name for itself in the world with its new initiatives.

Drawing attention to the fact that the pro-tutelage press that was against the national will unfortunately still exists in Türkiye today, Director of Communications Altun said, "But it has lost its hegemony; this is a very important point. Nonetheless, the efforts of those Westernist elements who seek to reintegrate Türkiye into the Western colonial order continue. We can see that they continue their activities to this end through the media. In this process, we can see that these elements are requesting assistance from media giants in the West, mainstream media companies, and media companies operating in the digital field and social media platforms. These elements we are talking about—the social media companies and the so-called prestigious media outlets that generate headlines against our President in the West—are essentially parties. They are fundamentally against Türkiye and harbor animosity toward Türkiye."

Director of Communications Altun stated that such attempts to influence the will of the nation, the word of the people, or their decision would not succeed, as the will of the nation always triumphs in the end.

"The elements of tutelage in the political realm have been eliminated"

Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun stated that today we are living in a much stronger, much more democratic, much more prosperous Türkiye, and went on to say:

"Today's Türkiye is not the same as the old Türkiye." Today, Türkiye has reached this point as a result of the advancements made under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's leadership over the past 21 years. Thankfully, we have reached this point. Because the point that Türkiye has reached today is extremely valuable not only for the peace and tranquility of our country, but also for the peace and stability of our region and the world. This power and reputation that Türkiye currently possesses is essentially a guarantee that the world will become a more peaceful and livable place. In the preceding 21 years, democratic politics in Türkiye has gained prominence. Politics has evolved into the center of problem-solving. When it comes to resolving our chronic problems, elements of tutelage no longer have a place, as elements such as the media, the armed forces, the bureaucracy, and the business world can no longer intervene externally in politics. Unfortunately, these elements interfered with democratic politics in the past, resulting in a severe thwarting of the national will. But as of now, politics is the venue for problem-solving. This is the success of our President. This is the result of the successful steps taken by our President, who has democratized Türkiye. This has enhanced the reputation of politics. Politics has evolved into the center of problem-solving. The elements of tutelage in the political realm have been eliminated"

Director of Communications Altun emphasized that international and externally managed terrorist organizations are also one of these elements of tutelage, stating that these terrorist organizations were also eliminated by denying them the ability to shape politics.

Director of Communications Altun stated that the field of economics has experienced significant growth over the past 21 years and emphasized that economic policies have become independent.

Director of Communications Altun stated that Türkiye has a presence in world politics as a global player, saying that Türkiye has become an effective regional power in the field of foreign policy over the past 21 years.

Referring to Türkiye's role as an intermediary in the Russia-Ukraine war, Director of Communications Altun stated that if not for Türkiye's negotiation management process, the world would be experiencing a severe food crisis today.

"This is a reflection of Türkiye's success over the last 21 years"

Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun stated that Türkiye does not solely seek to maximize its own interests on the international stage, stating:

"On the other hand, Türkiye is the only power that can speak in the most consistent, comprehensive, and forceful terms about the global system's current crisis and consistently reveal the points where the global system is blocked at this time, where injustice exists, and how it can be resolved. From the United Nations podium, our President has consistently illustrated the inertia of the global system in the face of crises and elucidated what must be done. This is the power of Türkiye. This is a reflection of Türkiye's success over the last 21 years. Türkiye has made significant progress in a variety of fields, including the health care system, transportation, and defense industry."

Stating that Türkiye will experience a period of growth in the truest sense, as stated by President Erdoğan, by achieving much greater achievements in many fields such as culture, education, informatics, and innovation in the new era of the Century of Türkiye, Director of Communications Altun noted:

"There are, in fact, two options before us today in Türkiye. We are on the verge of making a very important decision. We will either support independence or dependence. We will either support Türkiye's growth or its recession. We will either support the unity and peace of our country. Or we will regrettably wish for our nation to become a disabled nation with many internal contradictions that once again receives orders. We will choose either stability or chaos. I know full well that you are on the right side. I know full well that you support the truth. With your permission, however, I assert that this is insufficient."

Emphasizing that now is the time to talk about it and to fight for it significantly more than yesterday, Director of Communications Altun stated:

"By Allah's permission, you should persuade your interlocutors of this and explain the correct paths in the clearest manner possible, knowing what is most right for Türkiye and what the leadership of our President means for a great and powerful Türkiye by supporting the truth. You will undertake this initiative to make Türkiye a greater, stronger, and more prosperous nation. You are the ones who will carry forward the accomplishments of the Century of Türkiye, which our President has declared will be the Century of Youth. Some are making strenuous efforts to reverse these gains and, regrettably, to place Türkiye back under the control of the western colonial order. They also follow their instructions. They take their orders from them. They acquire the techniques from them. They acquire the instruments from them. The will of the nation, however, will ultimately destroy them and their masters. They will defeat them and their masters, and Türkiye will be able to fully enjoy its period of rise. No external force and its internal elements will be able to halt Türkiye's growth and prevent the country from becoming stronger. This nation will continue to uphold its will.

Metin Erol, Istanbul Regional Director of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, stated that the Bab- Ali School program was originally scheduled for 15 weeks, but due to the Kahramanmaraş-based earthquakes on February 6, it was implemented for 12 weeks.

Noting that 23 speakers and 90 students participated in the program, Erol said, "Esteemed Director, we are aware that the Türkiye's Communication Model, which you have constructed under the aegis of the truth, contains the fundamental values of our historical, cultural, and social codes. This model, which always promotes the pursuit of truth and reality, is enshrined in the Holy Qur'an with, "Seek the veracity of the incoming news." The command of Almighty Allah to refrain from telling lies was strengthened by the Prophet's admonition, "Woe to him who tells a lie." Because of this, the struggle for truth that you are leading causes great discomfort to the disruptors who are attempting to mobilize society around their own interests and ambitions through lies, slander, disinformation, and manipulation. Regardless of what these disruptors do, the youth who will build the Century of Türkiye will be on the side of the truth, Esteemed Director."

Following the speeches, a calligraphy-inscribed painting was presented to the Director of Communications Altun.

Director of Communications Altun presented the program participants with their certificates.
