Director of Communications Altun: “Great and strong Türkiye is the guarantee of world peace and global peace”

Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun said, "The 100th anniversary of the Republic will continue to be celebrated with the unity of the nation and the state. As the vision of the Century of Türkiye is implemented, the whole world will understand how great and strong this state is."

Director of Communications Altun attended the opening ceremony of the "Voice Tunnel of 100 Years", the 100th Anniversary of the Republic Digital Experience Exhibition.

In his speech, Director of Communications Altun stated that they contributed to the 100th-anniversary celebrations of the Republic with an innovative exhibition.

Noting that the objective of the exhibition was to demonstrate to visitors in a different way and method what a prosperous century the 100th year of the Republic was, Director of Communications Altun stated that the 100th anniversary of the Republic is a rich history marked by remarkable success stories of powerful figures, heroes, scientists, artists, politicians, and athletes.

"Thriving is the necessity of this age"

Highlighting that they are in an effort to convey the 100-year glorious and honourable history of the Republic to new generations, Director of Communications Altun added,

"Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we mark the 100th anniversary of our Republic with our achievements and success stories. We attach great importance to this, and our President refers to it as the 'Century of Türkiye vision'. With the Century of Türkiye vision, we are preparing Türkiye for the next period, and we are exerting efforts to ensure that the next period will be a period in which Türkiye will leave its mark.

As we have all witnessed, the age we live in is characterised by many crises, turmoils and challenges. It is of the utmost importance in this age to be well-prepared, to develop our own technologies, and to demonstrate our strength through indigenous capacity. Not only surviving but also thriving is the necessity of this age.

Türkiye, as a great and powerful country in this era, is exerting efforts to ensure that the world becomes a more prosperous and peaceful place while ensuring the welfare of its own citizens. Therefore, the Century of Türkiye vision is actually a project that ensures world peace and the tranquillity of our region."

"We mark our 100th anniversary with a number of significant events"

Director of Communications Altun stated that they positioned Türkiye as an island of stability and a stabilising power in an era of chaos as a result of the preparations and breakthroughs accomplished in accordance with the Century of Türkiye vision.

Noting that they marked the 100th anniversary of the Republic with achievements and success stories and that they left a strong legacy for the future with the Century of Türkiye vision, Director of Communications Altun went on to say:

"We mark our 100th anniversary with a number of significant events. We demonstrated this very clearly on October 29, when we held our Republic Day. We celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic with tens of thousands of ongoing events, not just on October 29. We gloriously and honourably celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic via exhibitions, panels, publications, documentaries and films. We are once more introducing the public to a significant event in this context today. The century's voice and memory are here. We commemorate the century by listening to the significant voices of the century—recordings that notable figures have left behind. Here, we are able to witness our joyous and proud moments as a nation, as well as introduce the voices of the figures and heroes who left an indelible mark on the Republic of Türkiye, from Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to our President. Through these heroes' voices—those of our artists, athletes and scientists—we are essentially creating a memory exhibition. We wanted these voices that influence our social memory to revive the memory of the nation once more."

"Great and strong Türkiye is the guarantee of world peace and global peace"

Director of Communications Altun said that the exhibition offered the opportunity to see Türkiye's firsts, bests, and historical accomplishments in the arts, sports, and sciences from a different perspective.

Speaking about how the exhibition's focus on developments after 2000 is one of its most significant elements, Director of Communications Altun said:

"The communication campaign launched by our President within the context of the 100th-anniversary celebrations of our Republic was the 'We Accomplished a Century's Worth of Work in 20 Years' campaign because the message here was very clear and straightforward. The success stories and accomplishments conducted throughout the past 20 years under the leadership of our President are great actions that both fit within and represent the century. When compared to earlier times, they are highly advanced actions in terms of depth, quality, and quantity. Yet, they are also equally significant and critical in terms of their impact on the future and the building of the Century of Türkiye vision."

Wishing the exhibition to be auspicious and celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, Director of Communications Altun said:

"The 100th anniversary of the Republic will continue to be celebrated with the unity of the nation and the state. As the Century of Türkiye vision is implemented, the whole world will understand how great and strong this state is. Great and strong Türkiye is essential for both regional peace and world peace. Great and strong Türkiye is the guarantee of world peace and global peace."

Director of Communications Altun visited the exhibition and was informed by the authorities while accompanied by TRT Director General Zahid Sobacı, Anadolu Agency (AA) Deputy Director General Oğuz Enis Peru, AA Board Member Assoc Prof İsmail Çağlar, and Presidency’s Deputy Directors of Communications Çağatay Özdemir and Evren Başar.
