In his message issued on the occasion of the 104th anniversary of the foundation of Anadolu Agency, the Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun said, "Anadolu Agency (AA) is an essential component of our fight against disinformation."
Congratulating the anniversary of the foundation of Anadolu Agency, which has been the voice of the nation in the world for 104 years, in his message, Director of Communications Altun said, "Anadolu Agency has become an indispensable source for reliable information in today's communication world, where information security decreases as communication technology develops and the need for accurate information increases."
Director of Communications Altun emphasised that Anadolu Agency, which has fulfilled many historical duties since the National Struggle, today has one of the largest and most effective news networks in the world, with representatives in 100 countries, offices in 41 countries and more than 1,750 employees.
Stating that Anadolu Agency is both a source of news and a powerful alternative for international media with its publications, news, photographs and graphics in 13 languages, Director of Communications Altun went on to say:
''When we consider how Western news sources distort regional developments and how they are turned inside out, we can better comprehend the significance of the Anadolu Agency. Anadolu Agency has also done an excellent job of bringing to the attention of international public opinion the truths that the international media does not see, want to see or show in the events unfolding in our region, particularly in Gaza.''
Noting that the data, visuals and photographs gathered by Anadolu Agency are significant evidence in Israel's international prosecutions for its war crime attacks, the Director of Communications Altun stated that the evidence gathered by Anadolu Agency in the books "The Evidence, AA Was There, and Culprit" is used as evidence against Israel, which is being prosecuted for genocide at the International Criminal Court.
Director of Communications Altun noted:
