Director of Communications Altun commented on the passing of author Ahmet Kekeç and said, “A real advocate of truth, a man of struggle who walked tall, an honest and unyielding intellectual has passed away.”
In a post he shared on Twitter, Director of Communications Altun noted that they said farewell to Ahmet Kekeç who was a master, a brother, a friend, and a true valiant.
Indicating that they carried the coffin of Kekeç, they said their goodbyes and laid him to rest with prayers, Altun said the following:
“A real advocate of truth, a man of struggle who walked tall, an honest and unyielding intellectual has passed away. He had influenced all of us somehow through his stance, views, and works. He was our fellow during this challenging journey. He was a modern-time valiant who had never departed from justice and truth, who had never hesitated to tell what he thought was true, and who had never carried a grudge against anyone in his great heart.”
Director of Communications Altun emphasized that Kekeç, who had fought against the tutelage mentality with his views during the most challenging times of the country, was tried, was fired, got sick yet he still stood his ground firmly.
