Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun said: “Activities of Can Dündar, who was convicted on charges of espionage and assisting an armed terrorist organization, cannot be evaluated in the context of journalism.”
In a post on his Twitter account, Director of Communications Altun made remarks regarding the 27 years and 6 months-imprisonment of fugitive suspect Dündar, who was tried in the case of stopping the National Intelligence Agency trucks.
Indicating, “Activities of Can Dündar, who was convicted on charges of espionage and assisting an armed terrorist organization, cannot be evaluated in the context of journalism,” Altun noted the following:
“This is an insult to real journalists. We expect our counterparts to extradite him to our country, respecting the independent Turkish judiciary.”
