President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine and the delegation accompanying him paid an official visit to Türkiye.
As a part of this visit, during the signing ceremony held at the Presidential Complex under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine, "The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Fields of Media and Communication" was signed by Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun and Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha of Ukraine.
The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Fields of Media and Communication between the Presidency's Directorate of Communications of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine aims to further strengthen the friendly relations between the two nations and to foster closer cooperation in the fields of media and communication.
Accordingly, the two countries will work to strengthen, promote, and enhance cooperation and the exchange of information and experience between the two countries in the fields of media, culture, public diplomacy, and strategic communications based on the reciprocity principle and mutual benefit, subject to the provisions of the memorandum of understanding as well as the laws, rules, regulations, and national policies in effect in their respective countries.
The Memorandum of Understanding envisages the exchange of information and experience in the fields of communication and media between the two countries, the sharing of the best professional practices and experiences, the promotion of cooperation on projects and initiatives that are of mutual interest and benefit, the organisation of conferences, trainings, and workshops, and the encouragement of reciprocal visits between officials and experts in the fields of media and communication.
The Memorandum of Understanding, which enters into effect as of today, will remain in force for three years.
