Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, shared a post on his social media account regarding the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Media and Communication between the Presidency's Directorate of Communications and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
Stating that they signed the memorandum with Mohammad Mahdi Esmaeili, Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, Altun said:
"In this context, we aim to strengthen cooperation and exchange of experience between our countries to detect and counter fake news and disinformation. I hope that the agreement, which aims to promote the exchange of information and experience in the field of media and communication, and to encourage consultation and cooperation between the communication institutions in our respective countries, will be beneficial."
