“As we celebrate today the 96th anniversary of the proclamation of our Republic, we continue our struggle to protect our sovereignty and independence in new areas and in novel forms as a state that takes its strength not only from its deep-rooted history but also from the legitimacy of its cause.
National Struggle continues.
Today, inside and outside our borders, regionally and globally, we are proud to see an even stronger Turkey each passing day.
With respect and gratitute, we commemorate our ancestors, martyrs and veterans who had laid the strong foundations for our homeland, flag, nation and state with their bloods, lives and great efforts.
The glorious memory of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his fellow soldiers, who created the spirit of national struggle out of very limited financial means thanks to the deep patriotism in their hearts and kept it alive, will be an integral part for the existence of our state and nation.
We continue to strengthen our hopes and dreams for the bright future of this strong state, which has an economic, cultural and political influence, not only self-sufficient but also extends a helping hand to the oppressed and makes no compromises to its humanitarian stance while protecting its borders.
While we preserve our accomplishments achieved with bravery and sacrifice and take firm steps towards our 2023 targets for the centenary of the foundation of our Republic, I believe the efforts of each of us will make our country’s present and future even stronger.
