Prof Burhanettin Duran, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed as the Presidency's Head of Communications.
The Presidential Decree regarding the appointment made in accordance with Articles 2 and 3 of the Presidential Decree No. 3 entered into force upon its promulgation in the Official Gazette on July 10, 2025.
A message of thanks from Head of Communications Duran
The Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, expressed his appreciation to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in a post on his social media account regarding the appointment decision.
In his message, Head of Communications Duran said:
“I would like to express my gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who entrusted me with the position of the Presidency's Head of Communications. I hope that we will be able to provide auspicious services to our homeland and nation under the leadership of our President."
Moreover, Head of Communications Duran shared a post on his social media account, responding to his predecessor Prof Fahrettin Altun's message, conveying his best wishes.
In his message, Head of Communications Duran said:
"I am pleased to take over this duty from my dear brother and friend Prof Fahrettin Altun, who had been serving as the Presidency's Head of Communications for the last seven years. I wholeheartedly wish for him to continue serving our country with the same success in his role as the Chairman of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye."
