President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens at the party’s rally in Ankara.
“WE EXPRESS OUR CONDOLENCES TO THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT”
Starting his speech by condemning the terror attack that took place in Russia yesterday, President Erdoğan said: “We express our condolences to the Russian government for the terrorist attack on a concert hall in Moscow. We strongly condemn this heinous attack, which targeted innocent civilians. Terrorism is unacceptable regardless of its source or perpetrator. As a country that knows the bloody and treacherous face of terrorism very well, we, as the nation and the state, share the pain of the Russian people. We will maintain our fight against terrorism, the common enemy of humanity.”
“ANKARA IS READY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CENTURY OF TÜRKİYE”
Noting that Ankara’s significance extends well beyond the public power it wields as the state center, President Erdoğan said: “With its industry, commerce, agriculture, culture and arts, and most importantly, with its people, Ankara is the shining star of our country.”
Pointing out that it is Ankara where they make the preparations for the investments that span the whole country, President Erdoğan said: “It is here where we have carried out the rights and freedoms reform that affects the life of every single individual of our nation. We have realized our 2023 goals, set out in reference to the centenary of our Republic, together with Ankara. And now I see the same feelings, the same excitement and the same determination here on this square. Ankara is ready for the construction of the Century of Türkiye.”
Stressing that Ankara is worthy of the best and the most beautiful of everything, President Erdoğan said: “We promise to prepare Ankara for the Century of Türkiye with its infrastructure and superstructure, with its urban and rural neighborhoods. We want to make Ankara the kind of city about which those residing and working there would say, ‘that’s my city’. Ankara should be a city that draws the admiration of those who visit and see it. We look for an Ankara that would make us all proud with its streets, parks, transportation, infrastructure, and social and cultural facilities.”
