In a thread on his Twitter account, Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun stated that they discussed all matters related to the neighborhood, from Libya and Syria to Iraq, Azerbaijan and the Mediterranean, at today’s National Security Council meeting, and reiterated the unwavering commitment to Turkish nation’s security policies to ensure its survival.
Pointing out that the security of the Republic of Turkey did not only consist of its own borders, Altun noted that Turkey was determined to transform its spiritual geography into a realm of stability by promoting security not just at home but also in a broad region between the Balkans and Central Asia to the Gulf and the Strait of Gibraltar.
Emphasizing that Turkey was fully aware of the partnerships targeting the sovereign rights of nations around the world and it won’t hesitate to take necessary steps to topple this regime of oppression, Altun said the following:
“Turkey’s ultimate goal is for peace and stability to prevail around the globe. Turkey will remain committed to its people-centered security and foreign policy, which we have followed for years, regardless of its costs, until all parties turn to the direction we have identified. Turkey’s greatest strength is to be on the side of righteousness and truth. Everyone should know this fact that Turkey will side with its brothers and sisters in Azerbaijan and repel all kinds of reckless attacks against them. In Cyprus, too, will we stop any attempt to disturb the island’s peace and stability.”
“Turkey has the power to obliterate the illegitimate bloc in Libya”
Altun indicated that the Republic of Turkey had the power and ability to obliterate the illegitimate bloc targeting Libya’s legitimate government, as it has defeated various terrorist organizations, including PKK/YPG and Daesh.
Pointing out that they inform the world once again, as they always do, Altun stated the following:
“There can be no successful project or initiative, anywhere between Turkey’s neighborhood and the Mediterranean’s farthest parts, despite our objections. There will be no accomplishment in this part of the world without Turkey’s approval. At a time when the world finds itself on the verge of a painful rebirth and humanity needs peace and stability more than ever, Turkey will continue to shelter oppressed peoples and do everything in its power to promote the atmosphere of welfare for which humanity yearns. The Republic of Turkey, under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s leadership, is fully committed to tap into the unshakable power and faith, which it has inherited from its predecessors, to promote peace and root out all malicious elements from its neighborhood.”
