"In a national television program, the insulting statements about the generals who command the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) expressed by a commentator participating in the program are extremely disturbing.
It is another great misfortune that the person who makes these statements also expresses the name of our President.
We cannot excuse any attack coming from inside and outside the country against our heroic Army, which our President defines as “our greatest strength”, or any offensive who want to siege our country by using terrorist organizations, who threaten our national security and who try to deprive of our international rights.
Our Army, which is being cleared from the traitors who have penetrated into the TSK after 15 July, is fighting with the same spirit as it has in Çanakkale, Kut Al Amara and the War of Independence. Our Army eradicates the terror in its source, gives confidence to the friend and gives fear to the enemy.
The Turkish Armed Forces is at the disposal of our state and our nation under the democratic legal system with its members from all levels up to the general.
We strongly condemn these destructive statements against the members of the Turkish Armed Forces at a time when our brave Soldiers are conducting self-sacrificing struggle against all kinds of terror inside and outside the country and are exerting tremendous efforts for the unity of our nation and the survivability of our state.”
