Altun: “So-called agreement made by the United Arab Emirates with Israel is null and void for Turkey”

Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun informed that the normalisation agreement made between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel was null and void for Turkey.

On his social media account, Altun shared a post on the matter:

"The so-called agreement made by the United Arab Emirates with Israel is null and void for Turkey. This step that ignores the rights of the Palestinians has already been condemned in the conscience of the peoples of the region, notably of the Palestinians," stated Altun, indicating that the agreement explicitly disclosed those behind the instability wave that had held the region captive for a long time, and once again demonstrated those who were using the righteous cause of the Palestinian people for their own interests.

Underlining that Turkey supported a fair resolution in Palestine, Altun noted the following:

"We will always stand against third countries trying to dominate this matter and threaten the existence and presence of the Palestinians, and disregard their rights.

This presumptuous move by the UAE contradicts the international public's wish for peace and reconciliation in the region. Any step that is taken unjustly and without the consent of the parties concerned will not bring along peace for our region.

For peace and prosperity in the region, everybody should duly react to this dangerous cooperation.

Turkey will never leave Palestine alone on any platform. Today, Turkey will sincerely work for the introduction of a fair and permanent resolution of the Palestine issue just as it did in the past, and will continue to stand by the people of Palestine.”
