Regarding the incidents in Idlib, Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun said, “If these attacks continue, we are moving forward with our plans to stop the regime from killing and displacing more people. We will not allow the regime to empty out Idlib.”
In a thread shared on his Twitter account, Altun addressed the incidents in Idlib and stated the following:
“Time is running out! The murderous regime has attacked civilians and our soldiers on the ground. We have and will continue to respond. If these attacks continue, we are moving forward with our plans to stop the regime from killing and displacing more people.
We will not allow the regime to empty out Idlib. This is a deconfliction zone per our agreement with Russia. If we exhaust all diplomatic and political avenues without a solution, we will not hesitate to implement other measures to stop this humanitarian catastrophe.
The international community is finally starting to recognize the regime’s atrocities in Idlib. However, rhetoric is not enough! Responsible members of the international community must act and they must act now! The security of the people and stability of the region is at stake.”
