Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun made a statement on his Twiter account regarding the remarks of Muharrem İnce, who left the studio during a television programme he attended.
"We have unfortunately witnessed remarks made by Mr. Muharrem İnce when the program he attended as a guest on a television channel was interrupted as it coincided with our President’s speech at the Conquest program." Altun indicated.
Altun noted the following:
"The unfair, unfounded and grave accusations made and the blaming attitude adopted by Mr. İnce towards our President over the broadcasting preferences of a private television channel, which are entirely determined by its own free will, are unacceptable. Every media outlet that operates in the Republic of Turkey is able to freely manifest its own views and broadcasting preferences and to continue their activities without any restrictions under the legal framework. Also, the attitude of Mr. İnce partakes of slander to our media community. We hope that the incorrigible attacks of this mentality, trying to launch a craze of insulting, slandering, and defaming towards our President with a hostile attitude, by taking advantage of every occasion, will come to an end.”
