Following President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's meeting of visiting Prime Minister Patrice Emery Trovoada at the Dolmabahçe Office of the Presidency, the two countries inked a cooperation agreement.
In this context, Türkiye and the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe have signed two agreements on security and law enforcement training, as well as energy cooperation.
Agreements Signed
The "Agreement on Cooperation in the field of Security and Law Enforcement Training between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe" was signed by Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Communities Gareth Haddad Do Espirito Santo Guadalupe.
The "Memorandum of Understanding on Energy between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe" was signed by Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar and Minister of Infrastructure and Natural Resources Jose Do Nascimento Carvalho De Rico.
