In a post on his social media account, Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun reflected on the year 2024 and wished that the new year would bring goodness and prosperity to all of humanity.
Head of Communications Altun stated the following in his post:
"The year 2024 ended with the bleeding wound of a human tragedy in Gaza, in the shadow of wars in other parts of the world, and with the light of hope from the Syrian people's efforts to achieve freedom. We witnessed despair, massacres, suffering, and tears on one hand and a passionate yearning for freedom on the other.
Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye once again has become the centre of diplomacy for peace and harmony in the world. We brought the genocide in Gaza and the crimes against humanity of Israel, the occupying power, to the agenda of all international platforms.
While recovering from the disaster of the century, we continued making historic breakthroughs in areas such as the first Turkish astronaut's space voyage, transportation, health, education, technology, the defence industry, and culture and arts.
Under the leadership of our President, we will continue to build the Century of Türkiye with unity and solidarity, achieving historical breakthroughs and completing mega projects in 2025 as well. We will take decisive steps toward our goals.
With these sentiments, I wish that the new year will bring all kinds of goodness and prosperity to our country, our beloved nation, and all of humanity."
