Both Erdoğan's Islamic conservative AK Party and Kılıçdaroğlu's centre-left CHP are running in parliamentary elections in coalition with other parties. While Erdoğan's main ally is the ultra-nationalist MHP, Kılıçdaroğlu's main ally is the national conservative Good (İYİ) Party.
